The idea for Tu Vida Jewelry & Design started in January 2005 when sister-in-laws Katie and Melissa Ramirez realized that they had a shared passion. Working with their mother-in-law in Colombia, South America, Katie and Melissa began designing and selling bracelets and necklaces to friends. In an effort to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Katie and Melissa quickly started hosting jewelry parties selling cancer awareness bracelets and unique jewelry with a Spanish flare. Word spread and what started as a hobby quickly turned into a business opportunity. Tu Vida Jewelry & Design, LLC was born in the summer of 2006, and has already grown to become a strong 100% women owned business in the Baltimore metropolitan area, offering both jewelry and invitation design.

The trade name, “Tu Vida”, means “your life” in Spanish. Appropriate for the underlying vision and goals of the company. Our mission is to offer unique and distinctive jewelry and design essentials that match each person’s personality, style and life. With Katie’s background in social work and Melissa’s in graphic design, Tu Vida is not only a company offering exquisite designs but one that continues to make a difference and provide a service to clients and the community.
